The most amazing evening of hand clapping and footwork. Spain's National Ballet brought flamenco to Sadler’s Wells: singing, dancing and guitars. Unreserved, loud and in superb tempo. With ordinary Spaniards one meets, I've almost forgotten the cliché of them shown to us at schools, but it was right there on the stage all evening: tall, lean and courageous matadors with strikingly beautiful and not less fierce señoritas. And those dresses!!! Bailaora can put her dresses’ train flying with a single strike of her leg. Olé!
