This was probably one of my best cycling experiences in UK. Even though I've attended a Bulgarian style party a day before and had a few shots of Raki (traditional Bulgarian home made alcohol) didn't reduce my inspiration.
The day was beautiful, a team of (about 40) fun and happy cyclists took a 120km challenge, although this was the first day of London Riots!
We have departed from Greenwich Park and the main idea was to beat the London traffic and get into the beautiful Kent countryside and head towards the sea.
The whole ride was a tremendous fun, even though the start was a bit frustrating with quite a few punctures, but what can you do... it happens! The roads were sweet and as we got further out, pretty traffic-free as well.
The fun stopped for a bit once we have reached Shooters Hill:
As we went along, by chatting to the people I've found out that some of the guys were even tempted to cycle all the way to Dover and cross the channel to France spending few days there, but in my opinion this was slightly crazy idea and would need more preparation :)
Lovely tail wind all the way made us fly, especially the last bit along the coast from Herne Bay to Margate. The herne Bay Fish&Chips was so awaited! Everyone just sat in front of the sea and enjoyed their food while having some beer as well!
