PARIS
There are travel tickets that for various reasons you must buy regardless of the cost. There are tickets that you want to buy as it takes you somewhere you have been meaning (or dreaming) to go, and there are tickets so cheap you can not resist buying. Paris was one of two such deals I've managed to get this year so far. Merci Eurostar!
Weekend at Dalia's with no plan, but lots to catch up on. We literary talked the whole time through. There also was fabric festival in Saint Germain, fancy macaroons (how not to?!), fresh cream pastries, buckwheat crepes with cider by the bowl (it appears French know buckwheat!), the best of impressionists at Musee d'Orsay and a long lunch in one of Parisian brasseries on the left bank.
We are so more Madame and Monsieur this Monday!
Eurostar weekend return £143 for 2. Coffee 3-4eur, lunch/diner ~ 14/20eur each respectively inc glass of vine, d'Orsay Museum 11eur each & the rest was small change.
