We could have not been the only ones with this idea and on the other hand it never bothers us too much. Usually everyone is happy, smiles at or greats everyone else and gets on with his own walk.

The day was glorious and perfect for any kind of activities outside. The sun kept everyone warm but fresh wind from the English Channel didn't allow anyone to overheat. You only had to walk, run, even cycle...

First it was up and down the Seaford Head after a home-like morning coffee and tea on the beach. The wade trough the waters of the Cuckmere River was very welcome and refreshing although a bit painful at that time (<del>it took us half way trough a very pebbly river bed to remember we had flip-flops and could help our feet :) </del>) and then were the Seven Sisters.

It seems a long way from Cuckmere Heaven but not as steep as it actually is. You definitely give your legs a good workout and when we reached the Birling Gap a short sit-down there felt very nice. There was only the last one of the Sisters and Beachy Head left to Eastbourne. These two hills are the closest to - presumably busy during summer months - costal town (<del>even local bus can take you here from Eastbourne centre</del>) therefore it is unlikely you ever be there on your own. However, there are plenty of opportunities for a good photo shoot of Beachy Head lighthouse and the old lighthouse on the Went Hill looks very mysterious in the afternoon mists.

As a matter of fact all the route we just did was in the mists and you hardly could see anything by the time we reached Easbourne. It might have been the sun, the water, the heat, the time of year/day or a mix of everything, but we've seen it all and were happy to walk along the cliffs.
